Death of a Duchess- Free Form.

Updated: Nov 3, 2023

Dearest, Norma-Jean.

Please come home to me. I wait for you

at the door each day, I keep

my arms ajar for you.

You cradle my sorrows before bed, forcing me

into the corner, pressed

to the wall, my spine shivers since

you disappeared, and I can

find everything except grief and

goodbye. I

just want to know if you had

time to say

goodbye. If

you did and chose not to.

One day you will be gone

for good, and knowing

you will dissolve into

nothingness, your

absence confirmed, my bones will

fuse into one

dead but breathing

corpse. I am so sorry

I left you. I wanted to

take you with me. I should

have

fought harder to

take you with me. I should

have. I should

have.
